By using funds secured from United Nations Higher Commissioner for refugees, World Council of Churches and other donors the EOC-DICAC-RRAD has been running various educational program to enable the young refugees of Camp and urban to continue their pursuit which they had started before they left their country, and upon their ultimate return home, be of service to their respective countries. The following are some of the activities:

Under the Elementary Educational program, children of refugees residing in Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa are enrolled in classes ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade in private and government schools chosen by their parents. The office covers the necessary expenses for their educational development by making close contacts with their respective schools and their parents.

Under the secondary program refugee students have been enrolled as boarding or day students in Senior secondary schools in Addis Ababa, Awassa, Dire Dawa, Pungido, Bonga, Dimma and Assosa.

Refugee students who completed high schools and were enrolled in various colleges and universities to take up degree or diploma courses were supported until the program phased out due to financial constraints of UNHCR and AACC/WCC.

Provide skill training opportunities to urban refugees in different skills.
